Laura Wilson - NCSSE Master Level Certified and ACAA Certified
Mrs Laura has lived in Madison County for over 26 years. Her love for gymnastics and cheerleading began very early and has steadily progressed into 26 years of active participation and training. Miss Laura is a 1990 graduate of Sparkman High School. While at Sparkman she cheered on the Varsity cheerleading squad for four years under Nationally recognized, Madonna Holladay. She was also on Sparkman’s first varsity cheerleading squad to compete at the National H.S. Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida. After graduating in 1990, Mrs. Laura attended Calhoun Community College and then went on to Athens State University from 1992-1994. At ASU she was a Varsity cheerleader as well as a Varsity softball player who ranked 2nd in the Nation. During this time, she worked with many local cheerleading teams coaching and choreographing. She also taught private gymnastics lessons to many inspiring students. After receiving her B.S.Ed. in Language Arts, Miss. Laura began her teaching/coaching career at her alma mater, Sparkman High School. Under the direction of Mrs. Madonna Holladay, Mrs. Laura coached the Junior Varsity at SHS for four years. While at Sparkman, her teams won numerous Regional, County, and State competitions. In 1998, Mrs. Laura became the Varsity cheerleading coach at Buckhorn High School where she coached for seven years. While a Buckhorn her teams consistently placed 1st or 2nd in the UCA Southern Regional competition and Madison County Cheerleading Championship. In 2000 Mrs. Laura received her Masters degree in Physical Education from Alabama A&M University and in 2002 Miss Laura gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Lakelyn. In 2003,2004,2005 the Buckhorn Cheerleaders won BACK TO BACK TO BACK Alabama High School 5A State Cheerleading Championships, a first in school history. Her squads also advanced to the semi-final and final rounds of the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Laura has been recognized for the past six years by the American Cheerleading Magazine and the Cheer Limited Corporation as a Cheerleading Coach of the year nominee. In 2006, Mrs. Laura gave birth to her second child, a son named Dawsyn. In 2007 & 2008, Mrs. Laura was the head coach for the University of Alabama Huntsville where she led the University's cheer team to their first National competition where they placed 4th.
Miss Laura became a Christian and dedicated her life to Christ at the age of 12. As a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church, Miss Laura was active in the Puppet Ministry, Children’s Choir, GA’s, Acteens, and Sunday School. She attended various youth camps, retreats, and mission trips. In 2002, Miss Laura transferred her membership to First Baptist Hazel Green and also re-dedicated her life to Christ. Miss Laura is an member of her FBCHG. “My prayer for DogHouse Gymnastics & Cheer Center, LLC. is that it serves as a place where young people can come to receive quality gymnastics & cheerleading instruction in a Christian environment. I want our students to feel safe, loved, and most importantly be encouraged that ‘They can do ALL things through Christ my Lord who Strengthens me’ Phill. 4:13. The experiences that I have had during my lifetime have made me the person I am today. I am so thankful for each trial and tribulation and have learned so much from each individual experience! I am so BLESSED! What a MIGHTY and AWESOME God I serve!”
April Duncan
April Duncan is beginning her 3rd year at DogHouse. She is currently the assistant coach for the Mni all-star team.
Mrs. April is the Group Exercise Coordinator at 24/7 Fitness and Tanning Salon. She teaches Turbokick, Pi Yo and Group Exercise classes. She is the personal trainer for the Hazel Green softball team and Riverside Christian Academy's athletic program.
She is currently working on her NCSSE safety certification and AFAA personal training certification.
Mrs. April is married to Neal Duncan. He is the associate pastor and minister to youth at First Baptist Church in Hazel Green. Together they have three children; Madison 11, Mary Esther 7, and Jackson 5.

Nicole Morgan Reynolds
Nicole is currently a student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is a 2007 graduate of Buckhorn High School. She was a Varsity cheerleader under the leadership of Laura Wilson for 2 years, then cheering on her Senior All-Star squad for 2 more years. During her four years at Buckhorn, Nicole achieved a State Championship, and placed in the top 10 at UCA Nationals. After High School, Nicole cheered 1 year at Jacksonville State University and 1 year at UAH, earning 6th place at UCA College Nationals. She is now married to Micah Reynolds and they have a beautiful baby girl, Brystol. Nicole has 11 years of cheerleading experience, has been with DogHouse for 6 years and is now the coach of the Junior level 2 squad.
